PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants type absorbent article preventing a rubber thread from being seen through around the belly or the hip when wearing and before wearing, making wrinkles inconspicuous, and having an outer appearance more approximate to an underwear.SOLUTION: There are included: an interior body 20 including a top sheet 21, a back sheet 22, and an absorber 23 between the top sheet 21 and the back sheet 22 and an exterior body 10 positioned on a skin noncontact surface of the interior body 20, and divided into a ventral part 11, a crotch part 13 and a back side part 12. The ventral part 11 and the back side part 12 are constituted of a composite sheet integrated by heat-sealing or ultrasonic adhering a plurality of nonwoven fabrics 14 to an elastic film 15 between the nonwoven fabrics 14. The composite sheet has at least on a skin noncontact surface of the ventral part 11, an arithmetic average roughness Ra of 600 &mum-1,200 &mum, a maximum cross section height Rt of a rough curve of 60 &mum-250 &mum, and a rough curve element average length RSm of 600 &mum-8,500 &mum.
