An aerosol-forming substrate for use in combination with an induction heating device is described. The aerosol-forming substrate comprises a solid material capable of releasing a volatile compound capable of forming an aerosol upon heating of the aerosol-forming substrate and at least a first susceptor material for heating the aerosol-forming substrate. The first susceptor material is placed in thermal proximity with the solid material. The aerosol-forming substrate further comprises at least a second susceptor material having a second Curie temperature lower than a predetermined maximum heating temperature of the first susceptor material.
