PURPOSE: A repellent is provided to allow injurious birds, rodent, and injurious insects to avoid a place where the repellent is placed through olfactory sense. CONSTITUTION: A repellent contains 1-5 wt% of a sea food extract, 0.5-5 wt% of calcium, 5-15 wt% of ethyl alcohol, 10-25 wt% of pyroligneous liquor, 5-10 wt% of starch, 25-40 wt% of silicon dioxide, and 10-20 wt% of naphthalene. A method for manufacturing the repellent comprises the steps of: mixing ethyl alcohol and the pyroligneous liquor； adding pulverized naphthalene； adding a mixture of silicon dioxide, calcium, and starch； and molding, extruding, and cutting the final mixture and packaging the cut mixture.
