The invention provides a connection member of a fishing reel effective for suppressing the deformation of a seal caused by the application of force on the connection member and enabling sure sealing of the gap between a shaft member and the connection member. A pressing member 61 (an example of the connection member) is connected to a non-circular part 8c formed on the outer circumference of a spool supporting shaft 8 of a reel in a non-rotational manner and is provided with a main body 70 and a sealing member 71. The main body has a non-circular hole 70c engaging with the non-circular part in a manner to inhibit the relative rotation. The sealing member has a sealing hole 71a placed coaxially on the non-circular hole to enable the contact with the non-circular hole, is placed on the main body and is made of an elastic material.
