PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental polishing instrument capable of creating a smooth transition surface around the border between a peripheral denture base and a soft lining material, while keeping the denture base from being ground or damaged.SOLUTION: This dental polishing instrument is made of a flexible foam material free from abrasive grains, having 10 to 250 cells per 25 mm, and an elasticity of 50 to 500%, and a tensile strength of 100 to 500 kPa. Preferably, the soft foam material is one kind selected from flexible urethane foam, polyethylene foam, natural rubber foam, chloroprene rubber foam, nitrile rubber foam, ethylene-propylene rubber foam, styrene rubber foam and silicone foam, and it is shaped like a disk with a hole at the center for passing a screw with which it is fixed onto a rotating tool shaft, or like a cannonball with its rotation axis in the longitudinal direction.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】 義歯床辺縁部の義歯床面と軟質裏装材との境目部分をスムーズな移行面に仕上げることが可能であり、義歯床面まで研磨してしまい義歯床面を粗らしてしまうことのない歯科用研磨具を提供する。【解決手段】 セル数10~250個/25mm,伸び率50~500%,引張強度100~500kPaの軟質発泡材料から成り、研磨砥粒を含まない歯科用研磨具とする。更に、軟質発泡材料が、軟質ウレタンフォーム,ポリエチレンフォーム,天然ゴムフォーム,クロロプレン系ゴムフォーム,ニトリルゴムフォーム,エチレンプロピレンゴムフォーム,スチレンフォーム,シリコンフォームから選ばれる1種であったり、その形状が、中心に回転工具の軸に取り付けるためのネジを通すための中心穴を有する円盤型であったり、あるいは、形状が、長軸方向に回転中心軸を有する砲弾型であると好ましい。【選択図】 なし
