PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric having excellent liquid permeability compared with conventional nonwoven fabric and having soft texture.
SOLUTION: The nonwoven fabric 10 has a first layer 11 containing one surface of the fabric and a second layer 12 containing the other surface and thermally shrunk fibers. Both layers are partially joined together at a number of junction points. Recesses 14 at the positions of the junction points 13 and protrusions 15 positioned between the recesses 14 are formed on the side of the first layer 11 to form an indented surface at the side of the first layer 11. An eccentric core-sheath conjugate fiber is used as a constitution fiber of the first layer 11.
