PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patient positioning system that detects a motion of a patient during image capturing to make it possible to correct artifacts caused by the motion of the patient when constructing or reconstructing captured X-ray image data.SOLUTION: The present application relates to a portable bite part 230 for correcting a motion of a subject 201 in panoramic X-ray imaging, computed tomographic X-ray imaging, or cephalometric X-ray imaging. The bite part includes a first end 233 and a second end 234. The bite part has known dimensions. The first end is configured to be positioned in a mouth 202 of the subject.
