The invention relates to a method for rapid mass production of summer short-day strawberry, which is utilized to implant strawberry plants that are discarded at Taiwanese farms in production season in April of each year into a fully-closed type plant factory which can have functions of controlling temperature, humidity, concentration of carbon dioxide and illumination, thereby rapidly promoting growth of strawberry plants for mass production in summer season, so as to enable summer harvest of strawberry that was never possible in Taiwan, and further enabling saving of fertilizers and energy consumptions, such as illumination, temperature and electricity. In this method, without using conventional strawberry planting skills, the strawberry plants that are discarded at farms in production season are directly processed in the plant factory for low-temperature and short-day treatments, so that the strawberry plants can continuously grow to bear fruits in a rapid speed, which are essentially undergoing the sequential processes of seedling-stage planting, vegetative growth and then reproductive growth to blossom and bear fruits.
