PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair wherein the operation state of the brake can be placed under a non-operated state by forcibly releasing the operating state even when a user is not sitting on the wheelchair, and thus, which can easily be moved.SOLUTION: This wheelchair 1 includes: a riding section 2 on which the user rides a frame section 3 which supports the riding section a wheel section 4 which is arranged on the frame section, and turns upon moving a braking section 10 for braking the turning of the wheel section and a displacement section 33 which switches the braking section between the braking state and the non-braking state. The riding section is constituted to change in response to the sitting state or the non-sitting state of the user. The displacement section is displaced conforming to the change of the riding section. The braking section is constituted to be switched between the braking state and the non-braking state by the displacement.
