A method and system are provided for radiotherapy workflow management. The method and system obtain an image object that includes a volumetric data set of voxels having a spacing and position relative to an image coordinate system. The method obtains RT objects that include anatomical information regarding an anatomical structure of a treatment region and including dose data defining dose values for dose points in the treatment region. The dose points are misaligned with the voxels in the volumetric data set. The method calculates a transformation to align the dose points with voxels in the volumetric data set and calculates at least one of dose-volumetric histogram (DVH) data or isodose curve based on the volumetric data set and the dose values. The method displays, through a workstation viewer, image slices from the volumetric data set with dose indicia superimposed on the image slices. The dose indicia is indicative of the dose data and is based on the at least one of DVH data or the isodose curve. Optionally, the system is natively integrated with a PACS system or a Healthcare Information System dedicated to the workflow management in a radiotherapy department.
