A clean-out construction for a fan housing (102) for a cleaning fan construction (26) of an agricultural combine (10), which clean-out construction includes an access opening (120) formed in the fan housing (102) generally beneath the fan body and an access door (130) installed to be readily openable and reclosable by an operator so that any grain collected within the fan housing (102) beneath the fan body can be quickly and easily evacuated from the housing, such access door (130) being hingedly rotatable about a door pivot axis (137) adjacent one side of the access door (130) and having a linkage assembly (150) therewith operatively coupling the access door (130) to the fan housing (102) to limit and control the extent of rotation of the access door (130) about the door pivot axis (137).
