The present invention provides a pest-control composition that exhibits excellent pest-control efficacy and contains the following: either a compound that can be represented by formula (1) (the symbols in which have the meanings given in the description) or an N-oxide of such a compound； and at least one compound selected from among the group of insecticidal compounds consisting of neonicotinoid compounds, synthetic pyrethroid compounds, phenylpyrazole compounds, macrolide compounds, diamide compounds, pymetrozine, pyridalyl, pyriproxyfen, spirotetramat, sulfoxaflor, and flupyradifurone.
