In one embodiment, a stable personal-care composition in the form of a water-in-oil emulsion may comprise a hydrocarbon wax, a polar oil, and a non-emulsifying silicone elastomer. In another embodiment, a stable personal-care composition in the form of a water-in-oil emulsion may comprise a hydrocarbon wax and a polar oil. The weight ratio of the hydrocarbon wax to the polar oil is from about 0.01 to about 0.5.
