This invention relates to an astride type constant distance moving walker (2), comprising a control rack, a follower rack, two linking mechanisms provided at the two sides of the control rack and the follower rack, and a seat cushion. The follower rack uses two parallel follower rods, which are disposed with handles at top ends having extension and direction changing functions, and a transverse rod in-between for the seat cushion to be placed across. The control rack uses two parallel control rods connected with a transverse rod in-between for the seat cushion to be placed across, of which the upper ends are integrally extended with a U-shaped transverse leaning rod, and two side rods of the U-shaped transverse leaning rod are pivoted with the two side control rods of the control rack to form a pivoting part capable of rotating relatively. The linking mechanism comprises a first and second connecting rods respectively pivoted with the control rod and the follower rod, and an elastic member with two ends respectively connected with the control rod and the pivoting end of two connecting rods.
