PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking type agricultural working machine which travels by hand pushing with a reduced pushing load while the engine stops, and which travels on the road efficiently at a high speed.SOLUTION: The walking type agricultural working machine includes a power transmission device which switches between the transmission route for driving only wheel axles, the transmission route for driving both the wheel axles and the tilling shaft, the transmission route for driving only the tilling shaft, and the transmission route for driving neither the wheel axles nor tilling shaft in the neutral state. The power transmission device includes an intermediate shaft 38 placed on the route of transmission to the wheel axles downstream of the transmission shaft 5 on the route of transmission, a shaft sleeve 41 inserted into the intermediate shaft 38 with free rotation and having the intermediate gear 41a at the end, the first speed gear 41b and the second speed gear 41c inserted into the shaft sleeve 41 so as to slide along the shaft.
