The invention claimed concerns a medical material, the method of its production, as well as use of that medical material manufactured from dibutyrylchitin and chitin regenerated from dibutyrylchitin butyrylchitin esterified to various degrees, polylactide, lactide and glycolide copolymers, poly-(epsilon-caprolactone), alginates and other polymers, especially biodegradable ones. The solution concerns a new method of biodegradable polymer foam formation. Biodegradable polymers covered by the scope of this patent application undergo degradation processes as a result of presence of at least one of a number of physical and/or chemical factors.
