PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide peel food preserved in sugar, retaining the color tone of the peel of raw material citrus, soft when eating, weakened in feeling of bitter taste contained in the peel of raw material citrus, excellent in preservability, delicious and efficiently impregnated with sugar, and to provide a method for producing the peel food.SOLUTION: The peel food preserved in sugar and obtained by preserving in sugar, the peel of raw material citrus with hard and thick peel retains the color tone of the peel of raw material citrus, and is soft when eating, weakened in feeling of bitter taste contained in the peel of raw material citrus, excellent in preservability, and delicious.
