The invention relates to a device for attaching a macroporous material for regenerating articular cartilage to the subchondral bone, characterised in that it includes: a) a sponge which comprises a biocompatible macroporous material that is suitable for regenerating articular cartilage, b) an attachment system suitable for attaching the device to the subchondral bone, and c) a supporting piece suitable for connecting the sponge to the attachment system. The device according to the invention enables the regeneration of articular cartilage, providing a good system for attachment to the chondral bone, while avoiding damage to the sponge material when attaching the device to the bone.
