PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the whole image clear based on a new structure in a confocal optical system.SOLUTION: An optical device 10 includes an optical scanner 100, a first lens 310, and a first cover 410. The first lens 310 condenses a light from the optical scanner 100. The first cover 410 is opposed to the first lens 310. The first cover 410 includes a first surface 412 and a second surface 414. The second surface 414 is on an opposite side of the first surface 412. A light from the first lens 310 enters the first surface 412 of the first cover 410, and is emitted from the second surface 414 of the first cover 410. The second surface 414 of the first cover 410 is curved convexly toward the outside of the second surface 414.
