<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly water-absorbing granular fertilizer which has high water absorbability, has high strength when absorbed water, and is suitable for a transplanter in lateral rows for paddy rice manuring, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. <；P>；SOLUTION: The highly water-absorbing granular fertilizer is characterized in that the average collapse strength of the fertilizer particles having particle size of 2.0-2.8 mm when 4 wt% water is absorbed to the granular fertilizer is 2-4 kgf, and is manufactured by neutralizing and granulating at a temperature condition of 80-100°；C while adding a phosphoric acid liquid having a concentration of P<；SB>；2<；/SB>；O<；SB>；5<；/SB>；of 25-35 wt.%, a sulfuric acid liquid having a concentration of H<；SB>；2<；/SB>；SO<；SB>；4<；/SB>；of 50-85 wt.%, and ammonia gas to a fertilizer raw material that contains magnesium oxide, a phosphoric acid component and a nitrogen component, that contains magnesium oxide, a phosphoric acid component, a potassium component and a nitrogen component, or that contains in addition to these raw materials a boron component and/or a manganese component, and by adjusting the pH of the granulated product to 7-8, and then by drying it at a temperature condition of 105-130°；C. <；P>；COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
