A method for manufacturing a sheet-like member from a sheet 30mf that is continuous in a direction of transport, and the sheet-like member being provided with a plurality of through holes h. The method includes : a step of transporting the sheet 30mf in which a plurality of elastic members 35a in a side-by-side arrangement in a CD direction are inserted between a first nonwoven fabric sheet 30mf1 and a second nonwoven fabric sheet 30mf2； and a step S50 of forming the through holes h in the sheet 30mf by pressing a member 55p at positions between a pair of elastic members 35a and 35a that are adjacent in the CD direction in the sheet 30mf. In the step S50, the member 55p is pressed into a non-facing surface 30mflsn of the first nonwoven fabric sheet 30mf1, and thereafter the member 55p is pulled out toward the non-facing surface； the non-facing surface 30mflsn is one of two surfaces of the first nonwoven fabric sheet 30mf1 and does not face the second nonwoven fabric sheet 30mf2. The non-facing surface 30mflsn is a surface 30mf1s1 that comes into contact with a support surface 202s of a support member 202 when constituent fibers of the first nonwoven fabric sheet 30mf1 are suctioned to and deposited on the support surface 202s in order to produce the first nonwoven fabric sheet 30mf1.
