PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector facilitating insertion and removal of a tube body in spite of exhibiting high sealability, and also having excellent cleanliness and a medical valve element for use in the connector.SOLUTION: A medical valve element 9 includes a base 21 provided with an insertion part 23 extending from one end face 21a to the other end face 21b through a thin film wall 22, the insertion part 23 is formed like a slit having a length smaller than the outside diameter of a tip part 82 and a width from 0 mm to 0.1 mm, the thin film wall 22 is disposed at the other end face 21b side in the axial direction of the base 21, and the surface of the other end face 21 is not provided with a liquid leakage preventive layer.
