The system and method provides the farmer with up to date root depth data that is derived from being able to recognize that there is water being consumed at a particular depth. Once root depth is derived, the system is able to determine the fill point for the soil and crop. Refill point is also be able to be provided by the systems advanced detector sensitivity and analytical capability.
