PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying one or more steviol glycosides, such as Rebaudioside X (Reb X), from a solution of steviol glycosides, and to provide a sweetened composition containing one or more steviol glycosides.SOLUTION: A method for purifying Reb X comprising the steps of: passing a solution of steviol glycosides, which can be obtained by crude purification of water extract of a Stevia rebaudiana bertoni plant material, through a multi-column system including a plurality of columns packed with an adsorbent resin to provide at least one column having adsorbed steviol glycosides； and eluting fractions with high Reb X content from the at least one column having adsorbed steviol glycosides to provide an eluted solution with high Reb X content； and removing a solvent from the eluted solution to provide a dried purified steviol glycoside mixture.
