PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the number of noise removal circuits of a sensor to a prescribed number irrespective of the total number of pressure-sensitive elements in a pulse wave measuring instrument.
SOLUTION: This pulse wave measuring instrument includes: a pressure-sensitive element array formed by disposing the plurality of pressure-sensitive elements a selection section for selecting a prescribed number of pressure-sensitive elements fewer than the number of the total pressure-sensitive elements out of the total pressure-sensitive elements constituting the pressure-sensitive element array and selecting and outputting only output signals of the selected pressure-sensitive elements out of the output signals of the total pressure-sensitive elements constituting the pressure-sensitive element array and a signal processing section processing signals for measuring pulse waves using an output signal selected by the selection section.
