<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for improving environment, able to effectively use saltwater sand included in saltwater, a material for recovering environment in coast areas, an artificial tideland, a method for reclaiming the artificial tideland, a material for improving soil layers, a method for reclaiming soil for field crop cultivation and a method for producing field crops. <；P>；SOLUTION: The material 1 for reclaiming an artificial tideland includes saltwater sand included in saltwater produced from a ground water zone. The artificial tideland 2 is reclaimed by using the material 1 for reclaiming the artificial tideland. The material for improving soil layers contains saltwater sand and a field is reclaimed by using the material for improving soil layers.
