PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give no discomfort feeling to a treatment receiver by a shoulder position detecting operation during massage operation.SOLUTION: A massage machine has a treating element in contact with and applying pressure on a human body, a driving means for making the treating element to operate the massage, and a pressure detecting means for detecting the strength given to the human body by the treating element. A control means has the automatic course massage function of operating the predetermined treatment operations in order, the function of adjusting the massage strength given to the human body by the treating element in contact with the human body, and the function of detecting the shoulder position of the human body by using of the output of the pressure detecting means and the position output of the treating element.
