The present invention is to provide a cosmetic composition comprising cholesteric liquid crystal particles having the average diameter of 0.1 to 500 m, and a manufacturing method thereof. The cosmetic composition according to the present invention comprises cholesteric liquid crystal particles of which the average diameter is adjusted and which has the narrow grain size distribution, thereby improving expression of visual dependence in which colors or tones are changed according to viewing angles.본 발명에서는 평균입경 0.1㎛ 내지 500㎛의 콜레스테릭 액정 입자를 포함하는 화장료 조성물 및 그의 제조방법을 제공한다. 본 발명에 따르는 화장료 조성물은, 평균입경이 조절되고, 좁은 입도분포를 가지는 콜레스테릭 액정 입자룰 포함하기 때문에, 시야각에 따라 색 또는 색조가 변하는 시각 의존성의 발현이 향상된 것이다.
