PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transplanting the seedlings of eelgrass on a disintegrable mortar block and preventing the leaves and stems of the eelgrass from making a contact with the inside wall of hole of the block and being cut off to improve its insertion rate, and a planting block. SOLUTION: This planting block used for transplanting the seedlings of the eelgrass 5 in the sandy surface of the sea bottom 6 is provided by installing the disintegrable block 1 made from mortar and a circular ring-shaped cushion body 3 formed with a biodegradable material rich in flexibility, penetrated with a transplanting hole 4 for inserting the seedling of the eelgrass 5, fitting with the hole 2 of the block body 1 and preventing the eelgrass 5 from making a contact with the inside wall of the hole 2 of the block body 1.
