The present invention provides a packaging bag formed from a 100% polyethylene (PE) plastic film. The packaging bag is able to form sharp corners as a result of the formation of free-standing column-shaped seals (2), which arise from the plastic film being formed in a rectangular cylinder shape and being heat-sealed for a specified width (D) along the corners of said cylinder shape.
