PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter that has good pushability, and is excellent in blood vessel followability as well.SOLUTION: A balloon catheter includes an outer tube 10, a balloon 30 fused to its tip, and an inner tube 40 inserted into a lumen of the outer tube 10 and the inside of the balloon 30, and fused to the tip of the balloon 30. The inner tube 40 includes a base end side segment 41, a first intermediate segment 42, a second intermediate segment 43, and a tip side segment 44. Only the first intermediate segment 42 is disposed inside a fusion region 32 of the outer tube 10 and the balloon 30, and part of the second intermediate segment 43 is disposed inside the balloon 30.
