The existent therapeutic drugs for CNV are merely pharmaceuticals for a symptomatic therapy, and therapeutic drugs for radical cure are strongly demanded. The present invention provides a prophylactic and/or therapeutic agent for choroidal neovascularization, containing a compound having an activity of suppressing epithelial-mesenchymal transition in retinal pigment epithelial cells, as an active ingredient.
