PURPOSE: An X-ray apparatus and a controlling method thereof are provided to improve diagnosis efficiency by easily moving the X-ray apparatus using a motor speed and detecting a force. CONSTITUTION: An X-ray generator(100) emits an X-ray with a preset high voltage. A first detector(200) transmits the X-ray passing through an erect object to a server(400). The first detector includes an X-ray detector(210), a guide rail(220), and a motor(230). A second detector(300) detects an X-ray passing through the object on a table and transmits the detected X-ray to the server. The second detector includes an X-ray detector(310), a guide rail(320), and a motor(330).본 발명은 서로 다른 축을 가지는 복수의 가이드 레일； 복수의 가이드 레일 중 적어도 하나의 가이드 레일에 장착되되 복수 축으로 이동 가능하게 장착되고, 사용자의 힘의 작용에 의해 이동하는 엑스 선관； 복수의 가이드 레일에 각각 마련되고 엑스 선관에 이동력을 공급하는 모터； 엑스 선관에 작용하는 사용자의 힘을 검출하는 힘 검출부； 힘이 검출되면 힘의 방향을 판단하고, 판단된 방향에 대응하는 축을 이루는 가이드 레일에 마련된 모터의 구동을 제어하는 제어부를 포함한다.본 발명은 힘검출과 모터 속도를 이용하여 엑스 선 장치를 용이하게 이동시킴으로써 보다 정교하게 원하는 방향으로만 움직일 수 있고, 또한 모터의 속도 제어함으로서 엑스 선 장치를 안전하게 이동시킬 수 있다. 따라서 병원에서는 신속하고 효율적으로 진료할 수 있다.
