The present invention brings added value to the suture by reducing the frequency of bacteria at the surgical site, aiming at reducing the prevalence and severity of postoperative infections. said suture consists of synthetic fiber, braided polyglactin 910 (1) composed of copolymer obtained from glycolic acid and 1-lactide in a 9: 1 ratio and surface with inhibiting activity lippiaidosides oil (2) ( 3) growth of staphylococcus aureus (fig. 3) and escherichia coli (fig. 4), common in surgical site infections.a presente invenção traz um valor agregado ao fio de sutura por reduzir a frequência de bactérias no sítio cirúrgico, visando a diminuição da prevalência e gravidade de infecções pós-operatórias. o dito fio de sutura é constituído por fibra sintética, trançada de poliglactina 910(1) composta por copolímero obtido a partir ácido glicólico e l-lactida na proporção 9:1 e superfície com óleo de lippia sidoides com atividade de inibição(2)(3) do crescimento de staphylococcus aureus(fig. 3) e escherichia coli(fig. 4), frequentes em infecções de sítio cirúrgico.
