PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, when a plurality of transducers each having a rectangular receiving surface on a recessed support part having a quadric surface of revolution, if the transducers are disposed with their vertices of outer edges of the receiving surfaces brought close to each other, a spacial frequency of a transducer arrangement space is reduced, and resolution power of an acoustic wave image is limited.SOLUTION: The transducer array includes: a support part, the inner surface of which is defined by a quadric surface of revolution formed according to an imaginary quadratic curve rotating about an imaginary rotation axis and having a plurality of openings; and a plurality of transducers each of which includes a receiving surface having a substantially parallelogram shape so as to be fitted in the opening.
