PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants-type disposable diaper and its manufacturing method in which the fitting property of the edge of a leg girth of an exterior body is improved.SOLUTION: In the pants-type disposable diaper, a folded portion 12 W is formed by folding back and fixing a portion of a leg opening side in a back side flexible band 12b once or several times in zigzag in the CD direction before cutting in the boundary of individual diapers after the inner body mounting step 307. As moving from this folded-back portion to the center side in the width direction, the folded-back portion expands to the lower side and fixed to the inner body in an expanded state. Also, an elongated oblique resilient elastic member fixed in an extended state along the direction moving to the side edge of the lower side from the folded-back portion in the inner body is provided. The joining of the side edge for the ventral outer surface component with the side edge for the back side outer surface component and the fixation of the folded-back portion are integrally performed by welding processing.
