Provided is a method of safely, economically and effectively concentrating and accumulating a health functioning component contained in a plant material (for example, a vegetable sterol or ?-oryzanol), which has various health functions, from the plant material to thereby effectively utilize the component in preventing and treating lifestyle-related diseases. Fish capable of efficiently absorbing a vegetable sterol or ?-oryzanol (for example, fish belonging to the family Salmonidae, Sparidae, Anguillidae, Carangidae or Scombridae) are fed with a feed containing a plant material such as cereal bran.
