PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug carrier used for drug delivery system (DDS) directed to an astrocyte, a medicine containing the same, and a preparation kit for the medicine, in particular, a medicine whose active ingredient controls the activity or proliferation of an astrocyte, particularly targeting an extracellular matrix molecule secreted by the astrocyte, or targeting at least one molecule functioning for the production or secretion of the extracellular matrix molecule, and a preparation kit therefor.SOLUTION: The astrocyte-specific drug carrier comprises a retinoid derivative and/or a vitamin A analog as a constituent.
