PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the unevenness of an eddy current generated in a conductor in the vicinity by the drive of a gradient magnetic field coil and to prevent the degradation of image quality due to eddy current unevenness.
SOLUTION: The MRI apparatus has a pair of static magnetic field generation sources arranged facing each other and forming a uniform magnetic field area there between, and a pair of gradient magnetic field coils arranged facing each other across the uniform magnetic field area on the opposing surface side of the static magnetic field generation source. A static magnetic field generator has a recess for housing the inclined magnetic field coil and the wiring material of the inclined magnetic field coil is housed in the recess. The shape and/or arrangement of the wiring material of the inclined magnetic field coil is adjusted so as to make a desired eddy current flow to the conductor near the inclined magnetic field coil.
