A device with an artificial airway to facilitate ventilation of the patient’s lungs, comprising at least one airway tube and a mask fixed to one end of at least one airway tube, wherein: the mask has a peripheral part capable of bringing it into line with the real or potential space beyond the patient’s larynx and adjacent to the walls of said space to form a seal around the perimeter of the larynx entrance, and the surrounding hollow interior, or and the lumen of the mask, at least one air tube is open into the lumen of the mask, the mask is designed to create a space inside the patient’s pharynx for drainage of the masses leaving the stomach through the esophagus, and this space approximately corresponds to the space of the pharynx existing inside the pharynx in the absence of a mask, the effect produced consists in restoring the normal flow of masses leaving the esophagus in case of belching or vomiting, when the mask is present in the pharynx. 2. The device according to claim 1, characterized in that the mask is designed to provide space inside the pharynx when the peripheral part creates a seal around the inlet of the larynx.
