PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide support pillars and the like which enable the selection of the cross-sectional shape of a center pillar installed in a house using the same tool.SOLUTION: A support pillar (1) installed in a house comprises: an upper side pipe (3, 15)； a lower side pipe (5, 17)； a connection part (7, 19) that connects the lower end side of the upper side pipe to the upper end side of the lower side pipe； a ceiling installation part 9 into which the upper end of the upper side pipe is inserted； and a base part 11 which supports the lower end of the lower side pipe. The base part 11 is provided with an inner side support part 12and an outer side support part 12surrounding the inner side support part. The base part 11 supports the large shaped lower side pipe 5 by the outer support part 12. The small shaped lower side pipe 17 is supported by the inner side support part 12.
