The device including: a proximal insertion end； a distal gripping end； a central portion disposed between the proximal insertion end and the distal gripping end； and a central channel comprising a floor and axially extending from the proximal insertion end to the distal gripping end and configured to accept a lanyard section of the urethral plug.
