PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray image diagnostic apparatus capable of smoothly performing inspection even when the power supply capacity of external power is relatively small.SOLUTION: An X-ray image diagnostic apparatus comprises: an exposure battery which stores power supplied to an X-ray source a first switching circuit which switches ON/OFF of power supply from an external power source with respect to the exposure battery a load circuit such as a display device a backup capacitor which receives power from the external power source and stores power supplied to the load circuit a second switching circuit which switches ON/OFF of power supply from the external power source with respect to the load circuit and the backup capacitor a detection part which detects the voltage of the backup capacitor and a feedback control part which performs switching control of ON/OFF of the first switching circuit and the second switching circuit on the basis of the detection result by the detection part.
