<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder for raising seedling vessels to feed bed soil, seeds and/or covering soil to raising seedling vessels under conveyance, to provide a method for switching the revolutions for the feeder, and to improve the operability of a tension roller in the feeder. <；P>；SOLUTION: The feeder is such that a conveyance stand 1 is equipped with a conveyance stand transmission chain 5 to be driven by a motor 25, and a feeding mechanism S to be driven by a driving force from the chain 5. In this feeder, the driving force for the feeding mechanism S is made variable by exchanging a driving gear 29 or driven gear 30 with another gear differing in the number of teeth from the above gear, and a chain 31 is contactably butted with the tension roller 37 of a tension mechanism 35, wherein the tension roller 37 is attached via an attaching-and-operative shaft 42 to the tip of a tension arm 40, and the shaft 42 is designed to be switchable between a locking mode for fixing the movement of the tension roller 37 and an unlocking mode for allowing the movement thereof. <；P>；COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
