PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair type massage machine for treating the stretch of a whole body while intensively treating an upper half body part.SOLUTION: A chair type massage machine 11 includes: a seat part 2 a backrest part 3 pivotally supported by the rear side of the seat part 2 and is reclining possible a leg placement part 5 pivotally supported by the front side of the seat part, and placing the legs of a treated person a treatment part 4 including treatment elements 41 for treating at least the back of the treated person and projecting the treatment elements 41 toward the treated person leaning against the backrest part 3 and a control section 91 for respectively controlling the leg placement part 5 and the treatment part 4. The leg placement part 5 includes: holding means for holding the legs of the treated person and stretch means for moving the legs of the treated person.
