PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a greening base material which is prevented from germination inhibition and/or growth inhibition, effectively grows greening plants, and can form a vegetation community having resistance against natural disaster and/or fall of earth: and to provide a greening method using the greening base material.SOLUTION: The greening base material is produced by mixing seeds of greening plants together, spraying and/or blowing the mixed seeds over a surface to be greened. The greening base material contains base soil and the char of sewage sludge, and is adjusted to have 10-70 vol.% of the char of the sewage sludge and pH 5.5-7.5. The three-phase distribution of the soil preferably includes 30-50 vol.% of a solid phase, 30-70 vol.% of a liquid phase, and 10-40 vol.% of an air phase.COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT【課題】下水汚泥の炭化物を活用し、発芽阻害や生育障害を起こさず、効果的に緑化植物を育成し、自然災害や崩落に強い植生群落を形成する緑化用基盤材、及び該緑化用基盤材を用いた緑化方法を提供することにある。【解決手段】緑化植物の種子を混合して、緑化すべき面に散布及び/又は吹付けて用いる緑化用基盤材において、基盤土壌と、下水汚泥の炭化物とを含有し、前記下水汚泥の炭化物の含有量が10~70体積%で、pH5.5~7.5に調整されている緑化用基盤材とする。土壌の三相分布が、固相30~50体積%、液相30~70体積%、気相10~40体積%であることが好ましい。【選択図】なし
