Eyewear including an optical functional member and electronics module comprising electronics for controlling the optical functional member, the electronics include at least a processor and a memory, wherein the electronics module has first contacts providing electrical connectivity between the electronics of the electronics module and the optical functional member and second contacts providing electrical connectivity to the memory of the electronics module, and wherein the second contacts are exposed from the housing and used to program or reprogram the electronics module.
