PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a holding tool for a cat, reducing stress applied to the cat, stably keeping the posture of the cat, securing the safety of the cat and enabling easy cutting of the claws of the cat by the owner alone.SOLUTION: The holding tool produces a posture of a cat hugged on the back in a manner to bend the back and extend four legs upward to relax the cat and convenient for cutting the claws by the owner. A pair of elastic plates are positioned opposite to each other and erected by directing a side of the plate end downward, and the parts near both ends in longitudinal direction are perpendicularly bound with a binding member to form a spring-formed opening. When a material is inserted between the contacting elastic plates, the contacting part is separated and expanded by elastic deformation and the material is clamped by the elastic resilience. A semielliptical concave cloth material is suspended on the spring-formed opening from an upper plate end zone of the elastic plate and clamped with the plates, and the cat is inserted into the concave cloth material in a form bending the back of the cat and directing four legs upward and the posture of the cat is held by the holding tool.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】猫に与えるストレスを軽減させて、安定した姿勢を保持し、かつ猫の安全も確保して、飼い主が1人で容易に猫の爪が切れる保定具の実現。【解決手段】猫がリラックス出来、飼い主が爪を切るのるのに便利なように、背中を丸め四足を上方に出して仰向けに抱かれる姿勢を作出するための保定具であり、弾性体の板を2枚合わせて片側の木端を下にして立て、長手方向に両端部近傍を結束部材でそれぞれ直角方向に結束して、弾性体の板が合わされた部分に物を挿入すると弾性変形により合わされた部分が広がりかつ弾性復元力により物が挟み締められるバネ状の口を形成して、このバネ状の口に半楕円体で凹状の生地を弾性体の板における上側の木端一帯から懸吊して凹状の生地を同板で挟み込み、ここに猫の背中を丸めて仰向けに四つ足を上向けに上げた状態で挿入してこの姿勢を保持する猫の爪切り用保定具。【選択図】図10
