Disclosed is an additive for imparting antimicrobial properties to a resin, said additive comprising a string-like polymer, at least one terminal of which is positively charged, and said string-like polymer comprising a cationic polymerization initiator and a structural unit derived from a monomer having a carbon-carbon double bond. Using the additive makes it possible to obtain an antimicrobial resin molded article that can be easily and inexpensively prepared, and has high stability and safety.La présente invention concerne un additif pour conférer des propriétés antimicrobiennes à une résine, ledit additif comprenant un polymère de type chaîne, dont au moins un terminal est chargé positivement, et ledit polymère de type chaîne comprenant un initiateur de polymérisation cationique et une unité structurelle dérivée d'un monomère ayant une double liaison carbone-carbone.
