PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of suppressing the occurrence of wetback.SOLUTION: A plurality of projections are provided in at least one of a top sheet 13 (center sheet 15, diffusion sheet 14, skin-contact surface side cover member 19, fiber layer 20) having liquid permeability and laminated at a skin-contact surface side of an absorbent core 18, and hydrophilic property is set to be higher in the order of the top sheet 13 laminated from a skin-contact surface side to a skin non-contact surface side. With this, liquid quickly penetrates from a skin-contact surface side to a skin non-contact surface side at the time of liquid absorption, and liquid can be temporarily held in a space S formed between the projections when an amount of liquid penetrating into the top sheet 13 is large.
